Firefighters Contain Early Morning Shed Fire

The shed fire was reported at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Enumclaw firefighters along with King County Fire District No. 44 firefighters from Mountainview contained a morning shed fire today on the 41400 block of 218th Avenue S.E. near Westwood Elementary, a fire official said.

The call came in at about 6:30 a.m. that an outbuilding was on fire but mostly burned to the ground, said spokesperson Carina Davis. However, the fire had spread to nearby trees. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to just one property.

While Enumclaw personnel were out on the call, Buckley firefighters were on standby, and King County Sheriff's officials assisted in blocking off the scene.
