Motorsport Mayhem at Puyallup Spring Fair April 19, 20 and 21

Tickets to Monster Truck Show and Slamfest Demo Derby go on sale Feb. 16, 10 a.m.

Puyallup, WA – Motorsport Mayhem, presented by Budweiser, is returning to the 2013 Spring Fair in Puyallup, April 19, 20, and 21. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. for the Monster Truck Show on Friday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m.; Slamfest Truck/SUV Demolition Derby on Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m., and Slamfest Big Cars Demo Derby on Sunday, April 21 at 4 p.m. A fireworks show will be the perfect finale to the Friday and Saturday night shows.

These are separate ticketed events, though advance purchase tickets include Spring Fair admission, a $10 value. They are available starting on from Feb. 16. All seats are reserved, and the grandstand opens one hour prior to showtime. Each event is held rain or shine. To purchase Monster Truck or Slamfest tickets online, visit:  http://bit.ly/ySE2nf.

Tickets are also sold by phone (888) 559-FAIR (3247), daily, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.; or at the box office at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center (9th Avenue SW and Meridian Street) on Saturdays, 10 am – 2 p.m. or Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 am – 5 p.m.

Monster Truck Show:

The Monster Truck Show on Friday night is produced by WGAS Motorsports. Featured trucks and drivers include (trucks subject to change):

  • Bounty Hunter
  • Iron Outlaw
  • Wrongway Rick
  • Detour
  • Captain USA (Jeff Bainter) – local truck from Cle Elem
  • Time Fly’s
  • Fired Up
  • Obsession
  • Destroyer
  • Playing 4 Keeps

There will be a free Pit Party on Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., where Monster Truck Show ticket holders can see the trucks up close and meet the drivers.

Kids of all ages can enjoy taking a ride on a tricked-out monster truck on Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, April 20 from noon to 4 p.m. for $7 per ride.

Slamfest Demolition Derby

The Slamfest Demolition Derby is produced by Evergreen Speedway/High Road Promotions. The Saturday evening derby features trucks and SUVs, followed by a huge fireworks show. Sunday’s Demo Derby is dedicated to big cars. Both derbies include Figure 8s, the Derby Heat Races, and Slamfest (the last car standing wins).

Don’t miss Auto Alley, a popular showcase each year at the Spring Fair. A racecar theme will draw all ages of guests, including cars from the LeMay Family Collection Foundation.

The Spring Fair in Puyallup offers fun for all ages and interests, including Aussie Kingdom, free entertainment, DockDogs, Swifty Swine Pig Races presented by State Roofing, Fiesta Mexicana, the Northwest Junior Livestock Show and Sale, and much more. Fiesta Mexicana is a Latino celebration, presented by the Jalisco Group, La GranD 99.3 FM and Latino 1210 AM. A food drive for the Puyallup Food Bank will be held on Thursday from 2 – 10 p.m., where kids can take advantage of the BECU Free kids gate admission for ages 0-18 years.

Purchase advance Fair gate tickets at thefair.com, or from participating Fred Meyer stores, Safeway stores, and South Hill Mall starting on March 25. Advance tickets are $7.50 (adults), and $5.50 (students 6-18 years). A coupon is included with the discount tickets at those locations, which offers six rides/games for $16 (excludes Extreme Scream and Roller Coaster).

Adult gate tickets are $10 at the gate, and Students (6-18 years) are $7 at the gate. Children five years and under are free. Parking is free.  Hours are Thursday (4/18) from 2 – 10 pm; Friday and Saturday (4/19-4/20) 10 am – 10 pm; and Sunday (4/21) from 10 am – 8 pm.

The Spring Fair in Puyallup started in 1990, and features family fun. Free entertainment stages, racing pigs, the Northwest Junior Livestock Show and Sale, and much more will be featured at the April 18-21, 2013 Spring Fair. Hi, Susan and Lou. We do know that our events calendar has issues at the moment with incorrect timesRead More displaying, and our engineering team is at work to correct this. My best suggestion at the moment is to post a comment on an event with the correct time, if you aren't able to go in and edit an event that you previously posted. Our ownership has not changed -- we have been and continue to be a part of the AOL family. Our intent with the new design is to highlight the great content that our users create and share with the community. We know there have been some bumps with our launch and are working diligently to fix them. We hope you'll be patient with us and continue to share on Patch.

I agree the previous version was much better and I am not adjusting well to the new version at all.Read More Its definitely not a better layout. Also have had many problems with the events calendar which may not even be fixable.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
