Volunteers Sought for Neighbors Feeding Neighbors

Dear Citizens of the Enumclaw Plateau,

Do you remember that meeting long ago to help keep hot meals delivered to our homebound seniors?  Because of your support and enthusiasm the Neighbors Feeding Neighbors program was created.  We have delivered over 3,000 meals to seniors since our start date of January 2, 2013!  We would love to grow in how many seniors we serve, but can't without additional volunteers.  Would you or someone you know be interested in joining this amazing group of volunteers?

Here is what we need:

Kitchen Helpers: prep and cook food under the direction of our Kitchen Coordinator.  From buttering bread to making the entrée, you will be trained and have fun working with others that have the same goal, feed our hungry seniors!
Hours:  Monday Wednesday & Friday ( one day or all three or once a month, you decide!) 2pm to approx. 5pm

Drivers:  Would you like to see the smiling face of that senior?  Then driving is for you, our seniors love to see you and enjoy your short visit!  You will have your own route, with occasional changes or you can be a fill in for when someone is unavailable.
Hours:  Monday Wednesday & Friday (One day or all three, or sub you decide!) 4:30 to approx. 5:30pm

Maybe you work in a company that would be interested in having a team that adopts a route and you can take turns with others to deliver.  This would work great for those that can only spare a day once in awhile, but would allow us to cover a whole route and add new seniors.  We can not grow until we have enough drivers to cover another route or another kitchen helper to prep the additional meals!

We are the only community in King and Pierce Counties that provide this service to our seniors, we are non-profit under the Mt. Rainier Wellness Foundation.  Come be a part of something exciting!
