A Traffic Heads Up Regarding State Route 164

Graduations at White River Amphitheatre, coupled with construction on State Route 164, could mean some traffic headaches for commuters.

Thanks to a note we received on our Enumclaw Patch Facebook page regarding some nasty traffic headed home late last week, we decided to check up on things at White River Amphitheatre, as it was likely what was compounding the traffic headache last Friday had something to do with a local graduation.

We reached an information officer at the amphitheatre this morning and though she did not wish to be named, she indicated there's only two graduations left in the season: Enumclaw High School graduates its seniors at 7:30 p.m. tonight, and Sumner High School's graduation takes place Wednesday at 7 p.m.

At the same time, there has been some construction on State Route 164 from the Auburn direction, she said, so commuters headed home to Enumclaw may be getting caught in that as well.
