Cascade Foothills Could See Snow by Mid-Week

The mountain passes, meanwhile, are expected to get heavy snow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Cascade foothills will likely get a dusting of snow on Wednesday night, as snow levels drop around the Puget Sound region.

In Enumclaw, the National Weather Service says snow and rain showers are likely after 10 p.m. on Wednesday. Chances for snow Thursday decrease to 40 percent. For both days, accumulations of less than half an inch are possible.

Meanwhile, a winter storm warning remains in effect in the mountains Monday, and passes will see heavy snowfall into the middle of the week. Chinook Pass by Crystal Mountain could see up to 13 inches of new snow Tuesday; Snoqualmie Pass is forecast to get 5-9 inches Tuesday and another 2-4 inches on Wednesday;Β Stevens PassΒ could see accumulations above 15 inches by Thursday.
