Don't Forget: Food Drive Saturday on Mayor's Day of Concern for the Hungry

A city-wide food drive takes place today, Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Safeway.

Enumclaw Mayor Liz Reynolds during the Sept. 10 Council meeting declared today, Saturday, Sept. 22 'Mayor's Day of Concern for the Hungry.'

The date is a part of a larger effort with the Emergency Feeding Program of Seattle and King County to coordinate an annual food drive to support the program and area food banks, particularly as winter approaches.

City employees have already begun the efforts to collect items ahead of today's drive in Enumclaw at Safeway. Staff and volunteers will be there from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today to receive your generous donations.
