Enumclaw, Buckley Exhibitors at America's Family Pet Expo in Puyallup This Weekend

With 1,000 both small and large animals, the Expo is the Northwest's largest pet-focused event.

An Enumclaw chapter of the American Manchester Terrier Club as well as Cascade Bulldog Rescue/Rehome and Foothills Veterinary Hospital in Buckley are among the exhibitors at this weekend's America's Family Pet Expo Washington at the Puyallup Fairgrounds this weekend.

With 1,000 both small and large animals, the Expo (www.petexpowa.org) is the Northwest's largest pet-focused event with action-packed feature attractions, a big line-up of exhibitors, learning opportunities, contests and more. It's also a one-stop source of information on the latest trends in pet care and new products from manufacturers and retailers.

Feathered, furry (and not so furry) animals splash and strut their stuff in multiple demonstration areas, including Splash Dogs, sponsored by NutriSource, as high-flying  canines make waves with their jumping skills; Jump! The Ultimate Dog Show, sponsored by The IAMS Company, showcasing action-packed stunts; the Adoption Dog Makeovers and Fashion Show; FeatherDance - Dancing with Friesians; the Avian Actors of Hollywood, and many more.

Reptilian pets continue to grow in popularity and expert Corbin Maxey shares information about these fascinating animals. Emphasizing education and responsible pet ownership for over a decade, the twenty-two-year-old has appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and "The Today Show."

"Finned friends" are spotlighted at the all-new Aquatic Experience, offering through-the-glass underwater views of saltwater and freshwater fish and plants from around the world.

Children ages 5-16 are invited to participate in the Kid's Aquarium Contest, with the colorful entries on display in the ShowPlex during the two-day Expo.  This unique learning opportunity provides participants with a 10-gallon heated aquarium kit to take home--with the children adding their own fish and unique decorations. Loving animals wait to share their lives with new owners at the Pet Adoption area, sponsored by VCA Animal Hospitals.

Hi, Susan and Lou. We do know that our events calendar has issues at the moment with incorrect timesRead More displaying, and our engineering team is at work to correct this. My best suggestion at the moment is to post a comment on an event with the correct time, if you aren't able to go in and edit an event that you previously posted. Our ownership has not changed -- we have been and continue to be a part of the AOL family. Our intent with the new design is to highlight the great content that our users create and share with the community. We know there have been some bumps with our launch and are working diligently to fix them. We hope you'll be patient with us and continue to share on Patch.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
