Follow-up 'Taking Action' Meeting from 5th Annual Health Summit Addressing Mental Health is June 4

Community members who took part in the 5th Annual Health Summit on April 30, which focused on the issue of mental health in the community, are invited back to the follow-up action plan presentation scheduled for Tuesday, June 4.

Among issues brought up were the lack of access to proper treatments, social stigmas as well as bureaucratic hurdles rural communities such as Enumclaw face. Read Patch's coverage from the summit, summarizing some of the roadblocks as well as the reality of mental illness.

At the April 30 meeting, attendees broke up into focus areas based on age groups to share problems and brainstorm solutions. The Mental Health Task Force, under the umbrella of the Enumclaw Regional Healthcare Foundation, has since taken the information collected and developed a strategic plan as a next step.

During this presentation,  you will be furnished with the results from all the break out sessions along with steps to address four strategies to achieve community change. Cookies and coffee will be served.
