Food Drive Today at 3 Grocery Stores

Their goal: To fill the city’s food banks.

WonGeneration, a nonprofit ministry that focuses on the local needs of communities, is holding a food drive from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today at a trio of Enumclaw grocery stores.

Those interested in donating nonperishable items that will be donated to Enumclaw’s two food banks can purchase or bring canned food to Safeway, QFC or Grocery Outlet.

In addition to having tables at all three stories, local churches are sponsoring teams of five people – including a driver – to spend about two hours canvassing door to door to collect food. The donations will be brought back to the Grocery Outlet.
