Funeral Service for Teen Killed in Halloween Pedestrian Collision Saturday

Justin Relethford died after being struck by a vehicle while walking along the shoulder of State Route 410 in Enumclaw on Oct. 31.

The funeral service for Justin Relethford, 16, who died Oct. 31 after being struck by a vehicle in Enumclaw, takes place this Saturday, Nov. 10 at Enumclaw High School at 11 a.m. A luncheon gathering follows at about 2 p.m. at the Enumclaw Expo Center Field House.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Relethford was walking on the right shoulder of westbound State Route 410 with another pedestrian when he was struck near the westbound fog line by a Nissan pickup truck. His female companion was not injured.

The driver of the truck, a 20-year-old man from Buckley, was under investigation for vehicular homicide. As of this Monday, Nov. 5, investigators were still gathering witness statements with regards to this incident, said WSP Trooper Julie Judson.
