  • Where/When: Downtown Enumclaw beginning at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center Saturday, May 12 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Why Go: Enjoy what is forecasted to be a mild and summer-like evening Saturday to mill about downtown businesses and enjoy wines from 20 Washington wineries. Perhaps start your Mother's Day celebration early with mom after a day of perusing local art. Event admission includes 10 tasting tickets and a Riedel wine glass.

  • Where/When: Ben Franklin Crafts & Frameshop (21121 State Route 410 in Bonney Lake) on Saturday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: For under $5, learn about crafting with canvas or just play around with new products. Organizers use a variety of techniques and mediums and you'll leave with a hand-made craft and new ideas for your own projects -- ahem, for Mother's Day -- or other gifts. All ages welcome

Mother's Day Lunch at Summit House

  • Where/When: Crystal Mountain on Sunday, May 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: Take mom for a scenic 10-minute ride up the Mt. Rainier gondala for breathtaking views before heading to the state's highest elevation restaurant, the Summit House.
  • Pricing: Cost of ride is $20 per adult. Visit resort website for menu.

 

Mother's Day at Cheney Stadium

  • Where/When: Cheney Stadium in Tacoma on Sunday, May 13 beginning at 10:30 a.m. (game at 1:35 p.m.)
  • Why Go: The Rainiers take on the Round Rock Express but get there early for a Mother's Day brunch, free massages and manicures, iced tea from Forza and free organic hot dogs from Applegate for moms and kids.
  • Pricing: Brunch open to all ticket holders for $10 a person (Visit team site for details)
