It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Enumclaw Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time.

  • Where/When: on Friday, May 25 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 26 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Why Go: The local family-owned and operated Chevrolet and Buick dealership has been renovating for the last six months to build a new customer experience with guidance from Chevrolet. Come see the new digs. Oh, and free hot dogs and apple pie!
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: The parking lot on the corner of Cole Street at Stevenson Avenue on Saturday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: Depending on who is available, you might encounter artists at work on site, vendors of various crafts and products or local farmers with freshly harvested produce.
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: Danish Hall (1708 Porter Street) on Saturday, May 26 beginning at 1 p.m.
  • Why Go: OK we admit we just came across this posted to our events calendar and don't actually know Mr. Poppleton. However, it's clear he's made a big impact on local education. So if you've had the good fortune of knowing Mr. Poppletone, you might want to stop by this shindig. It's a pot luck so bring an item to take part.
  • Pricing: Pot luck and BYOB. Questions? Email William Harris at williamjharris@hotmail.com

  • Where/When: 1) Enumclaw Memorial Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 27; 2) Enumclaw Veterans Memorial Park (Purple Heart Monument) at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 27
  • Why Go: Come and reflect on why this holiday exists and celebrate and honor the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. VFW Post 1949 and the Enumclaw Gateway Band are among the participants in the services.
  • Pricing: Free

The International Cat Assocation - International Specialty Club Cat Show

  • Where/When: on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27
  • Why Go: Organizers bill this as "the perfect show to title your cats, or to bring out those kittens that need the exposure to the show hall!"
  • Pricing: See event website for details

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
