  • Why Go: Help raise awareness of the fight against hunger in our community by attending “Empty Bowls.” How does it work? Potters and other crafts people have donated handcrafted bowls. Guests arrive for a simple soup meal and choose a unique bowl, which they keep as a symbol and a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world.   • Cost: $20 per person. 100% of the money raised will go to feed people on the Enumclaw Plateau.

  • Why Go: Enumclaw Music is hosting free live music on the first Friday of each month, and this month the headliners are local attorney Dan Farr and Friends. No cover charge!

  • Where/When: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, at  in Bonney Lake.
  • Why Go: Heidi Grace Kress, designer, scrapbooker and the spunky artist behind Clever Handmade, will be hosting a trunk show at the Bonney Lake Ben Franklin store  to showcase her paper lines and to feature new products. Don't miss out on this opportunity to meet Kress herself!

  • Where/When: 4:30-9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, at .
  • Why Go: The 3rd Annual Big Band Dance, Dinner & Auction "Stars In The Spotlight" is the SHS Bands largest fundraiser of the year and it’s happening this Saturday in the Sumner High School Gym. The evening will feature live jazz from Sumner High School, Bonney Lake High School, White River High School, Sumner Middle School, Lakeridge Middle School and Mountainview Middle School jazz bands.
  • Cost: $17. Tickets will include an Oven Roasted Prime Rib and Creamy Chicken Romano Dinner, silent Auction, Dessert Dash & Must Have Raffles. Tickets are on sale now, call Michelle Sterling at 206-371-7138 to purchase yours. Proceeds from the event will go toward transportation, band contest fees and other band expenses.



  • Where/When: 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday at the Puyallup Fair Grounds.
  • Why Go: This is the perfect place for both experienced and beginning sewers and quilters to indulge their creative passions or explore new ones. With more than 400 booths to shop from, you are sure to find what you are looking for!
  • Cost: Tickets are $10 in advance, or $12 at the door.
