Great Escape: A Night at the Drive-In

Get nostalgic over a night at the movies.

Spend an evening at the movies and remember a time when a show could cost less than your hourly wage. Sadly becoming a thing of the past, drive-in movie theaters offer more than nostalgia and economic value -- they also provide variety and an opportunity to snuggle with your significant other in the privacy of your own 4-door.  Just watch for that E-brake.

Valley 6 Drive-In Theater is a dinosaur in terms of age and technology but that’s part of the charm.  Our grandparents canoodled under the stars long before 3D took the movie industry by storm and getting a chance to share in that experience – regardless of being two generations removed – might be as classic as it gets.  The showing of current box office hits gives the drive-in another advantage aside from the ultimate convenience of a double feature (and, if you choose to, bringing the kids without breaking the bank).

As drive-in theaters are facing closure and ultimate extinction, make this the year you surprise your date with a night at the movies, under the stars – just like when you were kids.  And if you canoodled a little too much through that first feature, fear not, it will replay itself after the second movie.
