Great Escape: Pedicures & Pampering

Give yourself and your toes the VIP treatment as spring arrives.

With spring just around the corner -- March 20 is offically the first day -- abandon the never-ending chore of spring cleaning and clean yourself up. Those toes are begging to get out of boots and wool socks to see the light of day and their first rays of sunshine, so pamper them with a little TLC and a well-deserved pedicure. While you’re at it, treat your dishpan hands to a manicure too. You won’t regret it and the unmopped floors will patiently await your return.

There are an abundance of salons and spas in the area that specialize in giving you an easy getaway and often without reservations – perfect for those afternoons when your child has spilled his or her apple juice, yet again, and you need to get out before anger strikes.

Consider Love FX Nails located off 410 in Bonney Lake (Albertson’s Parking lot) for a Mani/Pedi for less than $40. If you are looking for a more thorough spa experience, Serene Day Spa in Enumclaw offers some awesome monthly web specials. Their Wine and Honey Foot Ritual ($60 value) focuses on relieving the stress and tension put on our hardest-working body part and includes a glass of wine as well as a simple cheese platter. Opt for an additional pedicure to round out the afternoon and leave feeling refreshed from top to toe.
