Cold Stone Creamery is hosting what it is calling the "World's Largest Ice Cream Social" as part of an event to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants children with life-threatening medical conditions a dream come true.

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, drop by a Cold Stone Creamery from 5 to 8 p.m. and you'll be able to enjoy a free, 3-ounce sample of the company's "Sprinkled With Wishes Creation." That is made of sweet cream ice cream, fudge, brownie and rainbow sprinkles.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation notes that it grants a wish to a child every 40 minutes. In the Seattle area last year, the foundation gave "Electron Boy" the chance to live his dream. This month, that boy died. He was 14. The Seattle Seahawks also have worked with the foundation to help kids be with guys in the big leagues.
