Learn to Protect Against Identity Theft at Buckley Pierce County Library

The event Oct. 19 also includes free document shredding.

TACOMA – People will learn how to protect themselves against identity theft during a free event at Buckley Pierce County Library, 123 S. River Ave., on Saturday, Oct. 19. Identity Theft Discussion at11 a.m. Shredding from 12 to 2 p.m.

Expert Lyn Peters, from the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions, will share how to protect against fraud and identity theft.

The event also includes free document shredding. People are encouraged to bring junk mail, pre-authorized credit mail and any other documents they don’t want to get into the wrong hands.
