Moms Talk Q&A: The Enumclaw Library and Kids

How have your own children benefitted from the children's services department at the Enumclaw Library? Regardless of who manages it in the future, what features, especially as it pertains to kids, do you think is vital for the library to keep?

Moms Talk is a new feature on Enumclaw Patch that is part of a new initiative on our Patch sites to reach out to moms and families.

Enumclaw Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community of support for mothers and their families right here in Enumclaw and the surrounding Plateau.

Moms Talk is your place to drop in for a talk about the latest parenting hot topic. Do you know of local moms raising their children in the Tiger Mother's way and is it the best way? Where can we get information on local flu shot clinics for children? How can we help our children's schools weather their budget cutbacks?

And you don't need to be a mom to chime in the conversation!

So grab a cup of coffee and settle in as we start the conversation today with this question, inspired by news this week that for the time being, the Enumclaw library will remain a and will not transition to King County Library System (KCLS) management: The Children's Department at the Enumclaw Library has evolved into an integral part of the community through its activities, story times and outreach. When the city takes up the question of annexation again, what do you want city administration and policy makers to know about the library and its children's services, regardless of who manages the library as a whole? How have your children benefitted from the services provided by the library that would hate to see go or change?
