Plateau Outreach Ministries Extends Thanks to Cub Scout Pack 500

The scouts ran a food drive for Plateau Outreach Ministries and delivered all the food this weekend, said director Britt Nelson.

Thanks to director Britt Nelson for passing along some great photos and summary of the work that Cub Scout Pack 500 did over the weekend. Nelson wrote to Patch:

This weekend Pack 500 delivered 1,056.6 pounds of food to the Plateau Outreach Ministries food bank! This donation is $1,584.90 in food value contributed by the community through the cub scouts.  Cub scout leaders filled the alley with pick-up truck after pick-up truck as the kids unloaded sacks into the food bank. It took several hours on Monday for the Plateau Outreach food bank pantry volunteers to weigh and sort all the food. The food will fill the pantry and be distributed as needed at the food bank between 9:30 and noon on Wednesdays.  Thank you Pack 500!
