While the Enumclaw library reopens on Nov. 28 following a temporary closure for renovations, King County Library System is hosting an open house on Saturday, Dec. 1 for all city residents to become orientated with KCLS and its many programs.
There will be music, refreshments and other festivities while visitors tour the newly refurbished library with interior improvements including new furniture, carpet, paint and a cyber computer bar for laptop users.
The open house will commence with a family program by children’s singer and songwriter Nancy Stewart. After a brief welcoming program with library staff and local dignitaries, the audience will enjoy a performance by the Gateway Concert Band.
One of KCLS’ outreach vehicles, Library2Go!, will also be on-site for the event.
Note: During the closure, certain children's services have been relocated to other areas of the city.
