St. Elizabeth Nurses Raise Nearly $2,000 in Food, Donations for Neighbors Feeding Neighbors

The local nurses embarked on this 'Pay it Forward' project to benefit the community in May, as part of National Nurses Week.

Connie Haubry at St. Elizabeth Hospital shared a few photos from a month-long project that the nurses took on to collect food and monetary donations benefitting the Neighbors Feeding Neighbors project in Enumclaw. 

The nurses were "Paying it Forward" to mark National Nurses Week which officially ran from May 6 to May 12, but the St. Elizabeth project continued to May 28 which saw a total of $475 cash donated and about $1,440 in food donations. 

Neighbors Feeding Neighbors (NFN) is a task group of the Enumclaw Regional Healthcare Foundation. NFN has two initiatives: one is a youth program and the other is a senior program that provides Monday through Friday delivery of hot meals to qualified seniors in our area.
