It was a sight to see Saturday morning downtown as families basked in the fleeting sunshine while some were carrying rather large boxes of toys and food.
It turns out both and were in distribution mode -- the former holding a Santa party at Danish Hall for kids to receive readily-wrapped presents and have a picture taken with Santa, and the latter setting up at the Senior Center to allow parents to select gifts for their children as well as pick up two boxes full of donated food (organized by the Kiwanis Food Bank) to prepare a complete Christmas dinner.
Patch stopped by both events and chatted with families and volunteers alike.
