I have loved art and won early rewards for my work in primary school. I never pursued it, other than occasional paintings for friends in college. Now that I am living in Enumclaw with the encouragement of so many artists, such as Roseanne Compagna, Lori Twiggs, Nancy Cary and Ingrid Tonies, Chuck Hubbard and Janet Berthon, to name just a few, and the capable instruction of Lori Maras, Helma Rayscher, and Elaine Lynest, I am uncovering my joy in painting. As you can see from the examples here, I love vibrancy and tranquility, and try to catch the energy and solace of places and people dear to me.

I like to put down an idea and leave it with something still to tell. The painting ‘Eden’ exemplifies this simplicity, with none of the animals fully defined, and the mood one of an ideal and timeless place where such a pool would be possible. You can see my love for the African spaces.

I would like to invite you to tour my studio and see the pictures I have painted of other locales and local treasures, as well as my collection of watercolors and abstracts. Thank you for viewing my work, as I believe it takes an audience to really complete the painting experience. Please leave any comments, as they will be valued.
