Don't Miss Art in The Garden 2012 This Weekend

The signature fundraising event of the year for Arts Alive is this weekend, August 4 and August 5.

Centre for the Arts proudly presents the Plateau’s perennial favorite "Art in the Garden" in the vibrant 3.5 acre setting of the Matson Family Farm Gardens. This two-day event showcases the work of over 30 local, unique artists and artisans, from silks and watercolor to yard art, concrete and pottery.

Even as it supports local Plateau artists, this is the Arts Alive signature fundraising event of the year with all proceeds going to support the Arts Alive Scholarship and Grant program.

Lorrie Maras, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arts Alive notes “this is a highlight of the year for Arts Alive! We can put meaningful dollars into scholarships and grants because of the success of this weekend. Certainly, there could not be a more inspired location to discover and enjoy such diverse and talented artists.”

The event is open Saturday, August 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, August 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The venue is accessible and fun for all ages, and admission is free. Enjoy the Garden plus the artists and their work. Come for an hour, or stay the day – there will be food and drink vendors and music throughout the day.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
