Artists Sought During June 11 Wine Walk

The City of Enumclaw is looking for visual and performing artists to take part in June's Passport to Washington Wine Country Wine Walk, hosted by the Enumclaw Area Chamber of Commerce.

We checked in with the ladies at the last week and saw they were working hard on preparations for the Passport to Washington Wine Country Wine Walk that's happening on June 11.

And just this week, Gary LaTurner, the city's cultural programs manager gave us the heads up that along with the chance to explore the viniculture of Washington state, those who come and check out this year's Wine Walk will also get a sampling of the local visual and performing arts culture -- courtesy of the city of Enumclaw.

City organizers are looking for visual and performing artists to display, sell and perform on Saturday, June 11 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The city will pre-arrange space within businesses as well as designate outdoor space for artists to place their own canopies and equipment along Cole Street, which will be closed for two blocks on either side of Griffin Avenue.

There are no fees for the artist and no permits required. However, each artist will be responsible for his/her own sales, sales tax, reporting, equipment, staffing, set up and tear down.

Check the flyer accompanying this article for more information about specific requirements of both visual and performing artists.
