Artists Sought for Enumclaw Artists' Studio Tour 2012

This year's annual Enumclaw Artists' Studio Tour takes place on the weekend of Mother's Day -- Saturday, May 12 and Sunday May 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year’s annual Enumclaw Artists’ Studio Tours will be held on Mother’s Day weekend. Selected artists will open their studios to the public for sales, conversation, and an occasional snack beginning at 10 a.m. The Arts Alive! Gallery will also be participating with hands-on artists demonstrating their skills throughout the day. Local artists are invited to send a request for an application to glaturner@ci.enumclaw.wa.us. Studio Tour artists will be asked to be available throughout the day on May 12 & 13 to show and talk about their current artwork, process, and where they get ideas. 

Interested local artists will be expected to:

  • Display at least ten current works of art that are for sale
  • Be open from 10 am to 5 pm Saturday, May 12, and Sunday May 13, 2011
  • Be available for conversations with visitors 
  • Submit one digital image of work to be included in advertising materials
  • Post provided signs to help advertise their studio locations
  • Take care of their own sales and tax collection and reporting
  • Pick up program signs from Arts Alive! Gallery by May 4, 2012

Enumclaw Artists’ Studio Tours visitors will begin their free tour by stopping in at Arts Alive! Gallery to pick up a map of participating artists’ studios.  While there, they can talk to a number of local artists who will be creating artwork in the gallery. All participating artists will be ready for questions, and they will also have a good supply of artwork for sale at reasonable prices.
