Enumclaw artist, Jean Stanley draws her inspiration from the local landscape. She has been an active artist for many years, and her dedication to the arts is evidenced by her beautiful artworks.

Jean Stanley has displayed her work at City Hall in the past, and it’s always enjoyable to see what new images she has created and what new direction she has taken.

“I live within fifty miles of Mt. Rainier which affords me many beautiful scenes for landscape paintings," said Stanley. "The area is breathtaking and spiritually inspiring. I find people and animals stimulating and enjoy giving them life in paint. Painting all these subjects gives me great creative satisfaction. I hope it gives others joy and encouragement”

Involved in her husband’s plastics business, as art director-consultant, which included such products as decorative and structural items for the Alaska Ferry system, and the Seattle World’s Fair, they created a 35’ Santa Clause for Seattle, Idaho, and Alaska, dinosaurs for the Pacific Science Center, 48’ sailboats, a 42’ fishing boat, and numerous other items for homes, offices, and businesses.
