Gallery 2011 October: Contemporary QuiltArt Association

The city of Enumclaw's Gallery 2011 will feature a variety of artists from the Contemporary QuiltArt Association during the month of October.

The following is a press release issued by the city of Enumclaw.

Note this gallery runs from October 6 to November 1.

The Contemporary QuiltArt Association is a diverse group of artists using the quilt as artistic medium. The group includes more than 100 Washington State artists. The artists are united by a relationship to thread and its role in textiles. Members are not restricted by traditional definitions of quilting, but incorporate a variety of styles, media and techniques to create stunning quilts with various fabrics, beads, dyes, paints, yarn, and thread.
Enumclaw is home to many creative quilters, and we are excited to share work from this creative group. Please come by City Hall’s Gallery 2011 to see a variety of quilt makers’ artwork. City of Enumclaw Gallery 2011 exhibits are sponsored by 4Culture of King County. For a more complete look at the Contemporary QuiltArt Association’s work go to: www.contemporaryquiltart.com.
