When I first discovered Andre’s Bar & Grill located at 9902 219th Ave. Court E. in Bonney Lake, I was highly pleased. I raved on and on about their homemade clam chowder and I still am of the belief it is the best chowder around. I still have a major crush on this dish but decided I needed to go back because the many unexplored menu options and to use the "Free Starter or Dessert" coupon I got on my first visit (Note: first-time diners receive one of these).

Andre’s is great for family, friends or even a casual date. There is a lounge and dining area as well as a good-size bar. Don’t worry about missing happy hour because there are actually three: noon to 5 p.m. in the dining room, and noon to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. – close in the bar. The portions are large; items include spice-rubbed mini-ribs with pomegranate and barbeque pear slaw, blue cheese and bacon pizza, and crispy Thai calamari. 

The happy hour is not the only thing that is fabulous about this place. All the food is handmade and fresh daily. There is no processed food to be found and, by the taste of it, you can definitely tell from the quality and clarity of flavors. Lunch specials can be found daily and the dinner menu items are extensive. Menu fare ranges from jambalaya fettuccini and tenderloin steak medallions to lean organic beef burgers and of course … the house clam chowder with fresh thyme. 

Happy hour menu items cost $2 to $5, lunch specials are about $6.95 and dinner options all are less than $16. There is also a banquet room available for parties and meetings. So come one, come all. Andre’s has something for everyone at great prices and extraordinarily flavorful menu items which are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. Did I mention the clam chowder?
