Bites Nearby: Cole Street Bar & Grill

is located on the edge of the downtown Enumclaw business district. Once known as the Hornet’s Nest, many locals perceived the restaurant as a high school hangout. For that reason the owners decided to give it a face-lift. Say goodbye to the Hornet’s Nest and hello to Cole Street Bar & Grill.

The interior was modified to accompany families and the bar area is semi-sectioned off for a more private area for people wanting to come in and enjoy a drink at the cozy and open bar. Speaking of the bar, the daily happy hour features $2.75 Bud Lights and well drinks. Fabulous, zesty appetizers such as pulled pork quesadillas, chili-cheese fries and BBQ wings are all half-off as well.

Breakfast, which is served until 4 p.m., features a nice option of either a half or a full portion on most items. Rumor is the country benedict and chicken-fried steak and eggs are a must-have meal. Lunch (served 11 a.m. to closing) offers an array of burgers and both hot and cold sandwiches. New on the menu are express lunches for a fast to-go option.

For dinner there is an amazing selection ranging from salmon, top sirloin and smoked pork chops to Italian favorites such as seafood fettuccine and Italian sausage spaghetti. New on the menu are specialty BBQ favorites served on Friday and Saturday only from 5 p.m. until gone! Choices are numerous and families can benefit from the ‘Family Feast,’ a full rack of ribs, a whole chicken, pulled pork, corn bread muffins, coleslaw and three sides of your choice. 

This barely touches on what Cole Street Bar & Grill has to offer in fare so all I can say is if you are looking for a local eatery with variety, then this should be on the to-do list for the week.
