Enterprise in Enumclaw: Meet Dr. Perry Chinn, D.C.

In the heart of Enumclaw is a man who not only has his own chiropractic office but who is an accomplished writer, speaker and coach who helps others soar beyond their fears.

Behind the walls of an unassuming storefront simply named is the powerful mind and presence of a man named Dr. Perry Chinn, D.C. Not only is Dr. Chinn a chiropractor, he also educates and guides others through the benefits and science of holistic wellness and is a nutritional product developer. Added to this, he is also an accomplished author, motivational speaker, pilot, and flight instructor.

Oh, and he can sing. Not just any song but as first tenor for 13 seasons with the Seattle Symphony Chorale. I had to ask myself is there anything this man cannot do? Of which I found, probably not.

Dr. Chinn settled into his new office at 1221 Myrtle Street in April of this year.  Though new in Enumclaw, he is definitely not new to the chiropractic and wellness business. For 25 years, after graduating from Life University in Marietta, Ga., he has been a practicing doctor of chiropractics. Seventeen of those years he spent at his practice in Seattle until selling his business and opening up another in Tukwila for an additional eight years. Deciding to eliminate some of the daily stresses, Dr. Chinn settled in his quaint hometown of Enumclaw.

Chiropractics is not his only position as he coaches his clients on how to heal their bodies through wellness education. The health and well-being of his clients comes first and he shows a great passion for nutrition and how certain foods can heal a body from the inside out. This passion has led him to become a nutritional product developer who enables people to learn how to heal from the cell on up so they can then start to focus on the ‘self.’

Dr. Chinn’s philosophies are similar to those of Bob Trask who has written the book, Romancing the Soul, Your personal guide to Living Free.  Both focus on health, spiritual, the mental “I can do it,” and nutritional consciousness.  If Dr. Chinn can raise people up by teaching and coaching them in these areas, he is fulfilled. It is the education that most people do not get or take the time to learn about how the body works and how it heals. This is also why Dr. Chinn is heavily vested in research of cell membranes and the formulation of products to prevent neurological issues. “There are limits to pharmaceutical medicines,” states Chinn which is why he is intent on his focus of holistics and whole foods.

To put is simply, Dr. Chinn specializes in targeted and relevant nutrition and healing.

He can also be considered a distinguished professional on the topic of nitric oxide and the healing affects on the body. He is the author of Symphony of Wellness – How Nitric Oxide Can Help you Orchestrate Your Health. He is also a medical advisor and creator of his product ACCTRIX which holds the mysterious healing powers of L-Arginine on the cardiovascular system.

Dr. Chinn is also an accomplished coach and speaker. Many of his topics come from his first book, Soaring Beyond Fear which teaches people how to jump out of their fear-minded worlds and break down barriers that are holding them back from doing and being the best they can be.

Recognizing the fear is the first step and it is of crucial importance that people can face those fears so they can move on in a positive fashion. Speaking and coaching “feeds you in a way that is indescribable” says Dr. Chinn.  “My number one mission is to see that spark of understanding in one’s eyes.” As brilliant as he is, he remains humble.

He looked me in the eye and simply said, “We are meant to soar.”

Soaring could also explain his passion for flying. It was in 1990 when he took a demo flight with his sister that he knew this was something he wanted to accomplish one day. It began with planes and then came the thrill of the helicopter. Not only did he obtain his private and commercial licenses, he also is a licensed flight instructor. I could see why he would take on the helicopter as he explained the amount of concentration it takes to handle one of these machines. Managed risk is what he called it; an all too fitting profile of Dr. Chinn.

When not conquering the world one cell membrane at a time, Dr. Chinn lives an active life with his wife and children in Enumclaw which has been home to him for some time. He has many other projects up his sleeve so I would not be surprised to see him on a celebrity genius list sometime in the future.

If you would like to meet Dr. Chinn and welcome his practice to Enumclaw, he will be holding Plateau Chiropractic and Nutrition open during the Enumclaw Street Fair from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.

Dr. Chinn can be reached at 253-670-0858 or by visiting his website www.perrychinn.com.

Hi, Susan and Lou. We do know that our events calendar has issues at the moment with incorrect timesRead More displaying, and our engineering team is at work to correct this. My best suggestion at the moment is to post a comment on an event with the correct time, if you aren't able to go in and edit an event that you previously posted. Our ownership has not changed -- we have been and continue to be a part of the AOL family. Our intent with the new design is to highlight the great content that our users create and share with the community. We know there have been some bumps with our launch and are working diligently to fix them. We hope you'll be patient with us and continue to share on Patch.
