Enumclaw Business Recycling Collection Event Set for Aug. 22

Enumclaw businesses can bring their difficult-to-recycle items to the annual business recycling collection event.

The City of Enumclaw will be hosting a free recycling collection event for its local businesses on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., small businesses can bring their difficult-to-recycle items to the Enumclaw Public Library, located at Myrtle Avenue and Railroad Street.

  • Cardboard: non-waxed or coated, flattened
  • CDs, Floppy Disks, Video Tapes: remove paper or plastic covers
  • Cellular Phones: phones, batteries, chargers, adapters
  • Plastics: grocery bags, stretch wrap, film, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, garment bags
  • Scrap Metal and Electronic Equipment: chairs, desks, file cabinets, refrigerators/freezers/cfc units ($10 cash fee), telephones, fax machines, DVD players, VCRs, stereo equipment, printers, keyboards, computer mouse, copiers, fax machines, scanners, other ferrous, and non-ferrous metals. Sealed tanks and drums and metals that are insulated, rubber coated, contain chemicals, paint, or hazardous materials will not be accepted.
  • Toner and Printer Cartridges
  • Wood Pallets and Clean, Untreated Scrap Wood

Fluorescent lights, tubes, bulbs, and incandescent lights will not be accepted. Please visit the King County http://www.takeitbacknetwork.org/ for a drop location near you.

The general public can drop off approved items at Enumclaw Recyclers (2551 Cole Street, Suite S. in Enumclaw, 253-218-9248) on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
