Stamp Prices Go Up Sunday: Do You Plan To Stock Up?

First-Class Mail and postcard stamps will both increase by a penny.

It seems like prices are going up on everything these days, and the U.S. Postal Service is following suite.

The price for First-Class Mail single-piece letter and postcard stamps will go up by one cent to 46-cents and 33-cents respeticely, this Sunday.

New 46-cent "Forever" stamps will allow customers to mail letters to any location in the United States. But old 45-cent "Forever" stamps will continue to be honored.

Do you plan to stock up on stamps before Sunday to eek out a savings on your mail budget, or is the change so small that you wouldn't miss the extra pennies?

Note: The Enumclaw post office is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers. So please send your favorite bloggers a thank you or a comment once in awhile to keep us motivated and feel appreciated..
