Tentative Agreement Reached: St. Elizabeth Nurses Not Striking Tuesday

Members of SEIU Healthcare 1199 NW will be voting on the agreement on Tuesday, March 22 so the strike is cancelled at this time.

The union representing more than 100 nurses at reached a tentative agreement early Thursday with the hospital and Franciscan Health System and will not be striking on Tuesday, March 22, as it had previously announced, said a union spokesperson today.

The nurses, represented by SEIU Healthcare 1199NW, had initially planned the one-day strike over a failure to come to an agreement over requested patient and staffing improvements, said Linnae Riesen.

With a tentative agreement in place, union members will be voting on it Tuesday, March 22, Riesen said.
