Battle of the Bands Kicks Off King County Fair Tonight
Gates open at 5 p.m., and fairgoers can get 2 for 1 wristbands for the rides for $20.
The King County Fair kicks off tonight at 5 at the Expo Center in Enumclaw with a Battle of the Bands contest.
Bands that will be featured include Perpetual Jet Lag, Ramiro, The Wheels, Inside-out & Backwards and A Version Of.
Another highlight tonight will be carnival rides, normally $20 for each wristband, are two for one.

Admission to the fair is $5, free for children 4 and younger.
The fair ends at 10 p.m., but will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Friday’s musical highlight will be a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band called Stevie Ray Guns at 7 p.m.

Other highlights of this year's fair include comedy, a game show with prizes, 4-H events, pig and lawnmower races, and various exhibits.
Saturday’s musical highlights include a Neil Diamond tribute band Cherry Cherry at 6, and Justin Grennan of Enumclaw, who recently was a standout on the popular new TV show “The Voice,” will perform at 8.
The fair runs from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday. Kiss 2 performs at 4 p.m.
