  • Where/When:  9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Fri, April 29 at 4th and Park Ave. in Buckley (follow the signs from 410)
  • Why Go: Sometimes you have to get off the beaten path to find something truly unique. With that in mind, you may want to check out this obscure perennial sale in Buckley, it may have a few surprises in store for you. Sale items include antiques, birdhouses, chainsaw art, collectibles, garden art, glass flowers and towers, photography, primitives, pottery, purses and vintage glass garden art. 
  • Pricing: Admission is free. Cash only.


  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sun, May 1 at .
  • Why Go: One of the few places you can practice your downward dog in Enumclaw is celebrating their 5 year anniversary. So grab some friends, sample a class and help Intent Yoga stay in business for another 5 years.
  • Pricing: Free, refreshments and light snacks provided.

  • Where/When: 8 a.m. Sun, May 1 at the .
  • Why Go: Looking to test the level your fitness this weekend? The Mt. Rainier Duathlon on Sunday is probably the biggest test you'll be able to find. One part run, and one part bike and then just for fun, a 4 mile run to top it off. This race is no joke. At least you'll have the weather working in your favor. Good luck!
  • Pricing: Registration ranges from $60 to $105. For more detailed information check out the event's flier.


  • Where/When: 8 p.m. Sat, April 30 at the High Cedars Golf Club in Orting.
  • Why Go: This isn't a putt putt glow in the dark type of tournament, it's an actual game of golf played on the executive course of High Cedars. You'll need to bring a flashlight, clubs, and your A-game for this golfing event. 
  • Pricing: $100 per team (teams of 4). 

  • Where/When: Friday and Saturday at Lake Wilderness Park in Maple Valley.
  • Why Go: Celebrate the opening day of the fishing season with the annual "Hooked on Fishing" derby at Lake Wilderness. The event will include a family trout derby with prizes for everyone and the tagged fish derby. The Maple Valley Rotary fires up the grill for hamburgers at 5 p.m. Friday night and breakfast is served from 12:01 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday. Good luck and remember, a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at the office!
