  • Where/When: 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at the .
  • Why Go: Come out to the Expo Center and watch man's best friend compete in this all-breed dog show. Root for your favorites in agility, obedience and other competitions. After the show visit the many specialty pet vendor booths and pick up something special for your furry friends back home.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: Film starts at dusk on Friday, Aug. 19, at  in Bonney Lake.
  • Why Go: Get a jump start on the fun of Bonney Lake Days with Friday Night Flix. Bring friends, family, blankets, lawn chairs and enjoy the show. The family friendly Disney film UP will be shown starting at dusk. Haven't seen UP? Check out the film's trailer so you'll know what you're in for.

  • Where/When: 9:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sat., Aug. 20, at .
  • Why Go: Celebrate summer with the City of Bonney Lake this Saturday at their biggest event of the summer. Bonney Lake Days has something for everyone, including a parade, fun run, car show, the kids zone, bingo, stage shows, a skate competition, and tons of fun activities and vendors to visit.   • Cost: Admission is free.

 

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at in Bonney Lake.
  • Why Go: This weekend at the Renaissance Faire you're invited to take part of Her Majesty's Royal Masquerade! It's the perfect opportunity to show off your beautiful Carnivale and character masks, or visit the face painting and mask maker's booths to become part of the magic. With dancing, singing and all forms of merriment, the final weekend will be a truly spectacular festival of color, mystery, coquetry and amusement.

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. Sat., Aug. 20, at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma.
  • Why Go: Help bring greater awareness to colon cancer this Saturday at the second annual Undy 5000 5K run. Participants are encouraged to run in their undies but it's not required. You can wear boxer shorts, colorful boxer briefs, logo-branded shorts for corporate teams, or even boxer shorts over your favorite running pants. It's your call. Don't feel like running a full 5k? Try registering for the one mile fun run instead.
  • Cost: Registration ranges between $20 and $40.
