  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Glacier Middle School in Buckley.
  • Why Go: Benefiting Buckley's Relay For Life for The American Cancer Society, this will be The Hungry Housewives 5th crop fundraiser and vendor event. Your $35 all-day Hopper Pass includes space for you to crop, stamp, quilt, knit, sort photos or just sit and relax. There will be lots of prizes, free make-n-takes, a fabulous lunch, dessert, snacks, and favor bags. Check out Patch's for more information.
  • Cost: $35. Please RSVP since space is limited for crafters- all ages welcome

  • Where/When: 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 at
  • Why Go: Join Dena Hughes as she helps you to create a beautiful chocolate box and card to give to a sweetheart this Valentine's Day.
  • Cost: Fee. Ages 14 and up. Registration required. Register online at: www.piercecountylibrary.org/calendar

  • Where/When: 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 in downtown Sumner.
  • Why Go: Enjoy wine tasting in more than a dozen shops throughout downtown Sumner this Saturday. It's a fun evening to spend with friends or your special valentine. Participating business include Off the Beaten Path, Whistle Stop Antique Mall, Alley Off Main, The Attic, VanLierop Garden Market, The Silo, A Picket Fence, The Attic Heritage Quest and many more.
  • Cost: $20 for six tastes and $1 for each additional taste.

  • Where/When: 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 at the Karshner Museum in Puyallup.
  • Why Go: Enjoy an evening with Dr. and Mrs. Karshner as actors portray the couple and tell of their adventures from around the world and as prominent history makers in the Pacific Northwest, especially the town of Puyallup.
  • Cost: $15.

 

  • Where/When: 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 at .
  • Why Go: Join the Rainier Symphony this Saturday for a night of fantastic classical music as they perform their second classical concert of the 2011-2012 season. These talented musicians put on a great show, but don't take my word for it, check out this Youtube clip of the Rainier Symphony in action and see for yourself. If you can't make it to the concert on Saturday, be sure to check out their repeat performance on Sunday at the Foster Performing Arts Center in Tukwila beginning at 3 p.m.
  • Cost: $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, kids under 12 get in free.
