- Why Go: Join the Friends of the Enumclaw Public Library this Friday and Saturday as they host their Winter Used Book Sale. The book sale is used as a fundraiser to support the Enumclaw Public Library. Last year, the Friends used the proceeds to purchase new books, computer calendars that were distributed free to the community and award summer reading program participants a free book.

- Why Go: Join your neighbors and help clean up Lake Tapps at the first annual Lake Tapps Trash Bash. Just pick up a bucket from The Home Depot in Bonney Lake on Friday between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. and return it full of items removed from the lake bed. Collection sites include Allan Yorke Park, East Pierce County station ... Kitty cornered from Al Lago on West Tapps, Pierce County Park (located on the North end of the lake), Tapps Island Boat Launch.
