  • Why Go: Start off the weekend by letting out you're inner poet at this Poetry Jam from Arts Alive! This is your chance to share some of your original poems. Or, if public speaking isn't your thing, just come down to listen and enjoy the readings. 
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sat, Oct. 15 at .
  • Why Go: Start your holiday shopping and decorating early this Saturday at the Bonney Lake Senior Center. The Craft Bazaar will feature many unique handmade including beautiful slubbed glass, tole painted woodcrafts, ceramics, jewelry, scarves, hats, handmade soaps, purses, paintings, and more. 
  • Cost: Admission is free.

 

Seattle Thunderbirds vs. Saskatoon Blades

  • Where/When: 7:05 p.m. Sat, Oct. 15 at ShoWare Center in Kent.
  • Why Go: If you've never seen a TBirds game live, you're missing out. Check out all the high paced, hard hitting action this Saturday at the ShoWare Center.
  • Cost: Tickets range between $16 - $40.

 

Spot Salmon Spawning along the Cedar River

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at five salmon viewing locations in Renton, Maple Valley, and Ravensdale. Visit www.cedarriver.org/programs for information on viewing locations.
  • Why Go: The free Cedar River Salmon Journey program will be celebrating the return of salmon this month.  Volunteer naturalists will be stationed along the Cedar River during the last three weekends of October at five salmon viewing locations in Renton, Maple Valley, and Ravensdale. Highly-trained naturalists help visitors spot spawning salmon and share information about the annual journey that salmon make through Lake Washington and up the river to spawn.
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday at .
  • Why Go: Join the ManeStage Theatre Company for the opening of its fifth season with their newest production, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. This hilarious Broadway musical features live music and a small talented cast of experienced artists that are sure to tickle your funny bone. Enjoy the show!
  • Cost: Tickets are $16 for adults, $13 for students, seniors and military and $10 for children 10 and under.
