Highway 410 Work Between Enumclaw and Bonney Lake Almost Done

Cones expected to be moved out today so motorists can use all 4 lanes.

Traveling on State Route 410 from Bonney Lake to Enumclaw was expected to get a little easier today as construction cones were
scheduled to go away so motorists could use the new $20,5 million four-lane highway.

Project engineer Dennis Engel said the road was supposed to open Sept. 1, but was delayed a week because the stoplight on 234th
and street lights weren’t working yet. Also, plastic lane markers and striping of the road surface needed to be finished.

Motorists have had to deal with cones, construction equipment, delays with flaggers and so on for more than a year as work began on March of 2010.

The official ribbon cutting was planned for this morning. Cement and landscaped medians are done, but there will still be workers finishing some minor work on landscaping, slopes and some electrical, Engel said.
