Planned Cayuse Pass Reopening Friday
The WSDOT reports that barring any unforeseen issues, the pass which has been closed for the winter will reopen at noon on Friday, May 3.
Rumblings that Cayuse Pass would reopen for the summer season began stirring earlier this week, and the Washington State Department of Transportation stopped short of making an official announcement, but on its Cayuse Pass page, the agency indicated Wednesday that barring any unforeseen weather problems, the pass will open at noon on Friday, May 3.
The National Weather Service indicates that at about 2,400 foot elevation east of Greenwater, tonight's forecast calls for a low of 41 degrees with south southwest wind between 3 to 7 mph. Here is the full forecast.
