Poll: Snow Levels Set to Drop Later This Week

Some of Enumclaw's outlying areas could see a few snowflakes, but no accumulation is expected.

It's beginning to look a lot like winter around the Puget Sound region, with rain and wind expected to pick up through the end of the week.

As temperatures drop, the "s" word is also on the tip of many people's tongues. The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement saying snow is "possible" over the East Puget Sound lowlands Thursday night and Friday.

Thursday evening's forecast for Enumclaw predicts the snow level will drop from 1,300 to 800 feet -- definitely lower than areas such as Mount Peak. Temperatures are also expected to be quite chilly, with overnight temperatures dropping to the low 20s and 30s beginning Thursday evening and into Saturday night.
