Prom Dreams is in its fourth year of helping to make prom possible for students at Enumclaw High School who might not have the financial means to pay their own way. They work with the Enumclaw School District to identify these students.

This year, generous community donations ensured that Prom Dreams has a surplus of gowns and various accessories such that organizers are opening 'Gown Day' to all Enumclaw High School girls looking for a dress for their June 1 prom, said Judy Zumwalt.

"We are geared up to serve as many students as we possibly can by opening our doors to all," she said. "This year our inventory of prom dresses and accessories is the best ever...beautiful updated dresses, etc."

'Gown Day' is also an opportunity for the girls to connect with local stylists to set appointments for day-of care and make up. Zumwalt said the community has again been generous with their support but singled out Sarah Bell of Salon La Bell for stepping up beyond expectations to serve the girls.

"It overwhelms me," Zumwalt said, of Bell's eagerness to help.

Wednesday afternoon, students just show proof of identification that they are currently Enumclaw High School Students.

If Enumclaw High School girls are still in need of a dress after May 1, Zumwalt invited them to call her at 253-332-1504 and set up an appointment to examine the remaining inventory and see if there is a perfect dress there for them.
