Here's a rundown of the top stories featured during Enumclaw Patch's first year.

Enumclaw Patch's first year has been an eventful one. Here's a look at the most popular stories of 2011, based on the number of total page views:

1. : The May shooting of beloved schoolteacher Amy Erwin at the hands of her husband, Zachary, who then shot himself, rocked local communities. Amy Erwin was a teacher at Victor Falls Elementary School in Bonney Lake. This story, featuring an interview with Live to Forgive Ministries founder Dean Smith, who himself went through a traumatic event as a child, was an effort to help both communities come to terms with what happened.

2. : This was the breaking news version of the No. 1 story above.

3. : Officials responding to reports of an explosion in an Enumclaw neighborhood in early May found a body badly burned at the property on 1839 Loraine Street. An identified the body as that of owner Tony Pedrini. Enumclaw Police Lt. Bob Huebler was asked whether there has been an update in the investigation as recently as November, but there were no new details to share, he said.

7. : Terenn Houk graduated from Enumclaw High School in 2011 as a multi-sport athlete and all-around student leader. In this article, he recounts for Patch contributor Scott Whittum the road leading to his acceptance at Brigham Young University.

8. : Enumclaw Patch's interim editor Steve Powell spoke with the mother of the alleged victim in the case of Samuel Shane Alvidrez, who currently faces two counts of third-degree rape of a child. The girl was doing much better after going through a wilderness treatment program with a group out of Aspen, Colo., her mother said. Meanwhile, Alvidrez's trial has been postponed until February.

9. : A 17-year-old boy from Puyallup and a 19-year-old from Bonney Lake were  injured in a single-car crash in Buckley in August. In October, against Ryan R. Bogue, 18, for his role in the crash. Our sister site in documented some of the Internet tributes for Norton after his death.

10. : Just days into the new year, the King County Sheriff's Office issued a statement indicating that the appeared suspicious. In March, Patch checked in with the Medical Examiner's Office for an update. They indicated that Bryce Bjornson-Campbell died from sepsis and an abdominal infection. The boy's mother had owned a clothing shop in downtown Enumclaw called Over the Edge, which has since closed. To date, there have been no charges filed in the case.
