Watch for water collecting on roadways today, especially if you're behind the wheel. The National Weather Service in Seattle has put forth an urban and small stream flood advisory for several counties Wednesday, according to a 10:40 a.m. update.
Nearly two inches of rain has fallen across many lowland areas in the last 24 hours. Moderate rain is forecast for most of today with up to another two inches expected. The NWS cautions roadways that are particularly prone to flooding include underpasses and intersections where drainage is poor due to the build up of leaves and other debris.
Counties impacted are: Clallam, Island, Jefferson, San Juan, Skagit, Whatcom, King, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston and Grays Harbor. The advisory is in effect until 6:30 p.m. tonight.
