What's Open, Closed in Enumclaw New Year's Day
With Jan. 1 falling on a Tuesday, here's a look at what is open and closed through the early part of the week.
Like Christmas, Jan. 1 also falls on a Tuesday this year, and several places will close early or close completely on Monday, Dec. 31 as well. Here's the rundown:
- United States Postal Service: Open Monday Dec. 31 and regular mail delivery expected. The USPS says most post offices will shorten retail lobby hours and close at noon. The Enumclaw post office is closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, with regular hours and mail delivery resuming Wednesday, Jan. 2.
- Grocery Stores:
- QFC: Open regular hours Monday, Dec. 31 and Tuesday, Jan. 1
- Safeway: Open regular hours Monday, Dec. 31 and Tuesday, Jan. 1
- Grocery Outlet: Open regular hours Monday, Dec. 31 and Tuesday, Jan. 1
- Note: For Champagne and sparkling wine needs, Sip City Wines is also open to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31.
- Enumclaw City Library: The library is closed on Monday, Dec. 31 at 5 p.m. and closed all day Tuesday, Jan. 1. Note the KCLS Catalog, databases and eBooks will be unavailable from Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 9:15 p.m. through Thursday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m.
- Enumclaw City Hall: City Hall is closed Tuesday, Jan. 2.
