Wintery Driving Conditions Starting on Mountain Roads

The Washington State Department of Transportation's updates Thursday indicate compact snow in areas and advise traction devices.

The nip in the air is translating into wintery driving conditions up State Route 410 and towards Cayuse Pass, according to updates from the WSDOT this morning.

An 11:05 a.m. update from Chinook Pass indicates compact snow in areas on the road, while a 12:24 p.m. update from Cayuse Pass is advising traction tires on State Route 123.

The section from Greenwater up to Crystal Mountain remains open with no restrictions, according to an 11:23 a.m. update today.
