Green Seattle Day Kick-Off Tree Planting

On Saturday, Odwalla, The Nature Conservancy, and Target will join the Green Seattle Partnership to plant trees and restore 17 of Seattle’s beautiful forested parks, with the main event taking place at the West Duwamish Greenbelt. The plantings are part of the 8th Annual Green Seattle Day, and Odwalla’s participation is part of a larger effort to plant a total of 130,000 trees in forests and urban areas nationwide in 2013. Seattle residents are invited to join in Saturday’s plantings.

Mayor Mike McGinn and REI CEO Jerry Stritzke will join Odwalla and Green Seattle Partnership in welcoming volunteers and kicking off Green Seattle Day during the West Duwamish Greenbelt event.
