Snowmance? Don’t Buy Any Roses for This Week

Remember when I said that the atmosphere likes to jump into a weather pattern and keep that pattern for a time.  Then it jumps into another one and do on.  Anyway-----the atmosphere just jumped into a high pressure region just west of us and it seems determined to keep that pattern, at least through the weekend.

The high pressure in that position generally gives us mostly dry and cool weather in the winter, as storms are directed around us. The only drawback to this weather pattern is fog in the normally foggy locations.

This is not a bad weather pattern, unless you are looking for a snowmance.  Then you had better fly to the east coast.  This dry and cool pattern for us is cold and snowy for them. 

Well----we already had a first date, but no second in sight.  But there’s plenty of winter to go, and I’ll keep you posted if a second date looks promising.
